Since the first time I saw it, I've been wanting to color this beautiful lineart by ~dreasama. She thinks that b& w art is precious the way it is and doesn't need colors, and yet she let me color her work. I feel honored and I hope that sweet Drea likes the results. If you don't, let me know and I'll do what I can, ok?

This girl makes me think of a beautiful geisha trapped in a magnificent garden, surrounded by ponds, peacock's feathers, and white roses dripping blood at dusk. She's noble, but her eyes are sad, because all they ask her is just to be a gem mounted in a luxurious frame. And she'd like to run away. That's my interpretation of the title. I hope I got at least a right clue.

I like her a lot, you know. I made her in a sort of a frantic, artistic rush, but I think she turned out very well. First I printed the lineart on a board, then I opted for colored pencils because I was just too sick of digital coloring. I know the marks of the pencils are showing, so what? I like them - they show the kind of the medium I used. I must say it looks much better in reality, also because I used some nice metallic pastels which give it a special light effect.
